Today's prompt was to write a sensual poem dedicated to coffee or tea or both.
Tea Love
You leave me quenched,
after I apply the heat.
Keeping you waiting
makes you stronger
in your desire
to please.
I prefer your ardour
cooled,
but I will take you
any way
I can get you,
any day, any season.
Iced tea is my drink, all day and as the poem says, any season. I have consumed a lot of it, many brands, and Luzianne is the best for iced tea. My dad liked it so sweet it was like drinking dessert, so does my son-in-law. I drink it straight!

Sens-u-ali-TEA!
ReplyDeleteI love ice tea too ;o) I love your poem ;o) "in your desire to please"! Big Hugs ;o)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Stacy! Big hugs back!
ReplyDeleteIced Tea is the official drink down here--I had never had it till I came to Oklahoma(not a big drink in Chicago ;_) ) I do enjoy it a lot, but not as much--obviously!!!- as you do. This is quite a neat little poem, by the by--sneakily good in structure and phrase. Lots of fun, Sharon.
ReplyDeleteThen you know all about Luzianne! My first 12 years were lived in Texas. I think my mom must have put it in my bottle! Lol
DeleteThank you for the nice words!
Niiiiice. Good, good poem. Favorite line: "Keeping you waiting makes you stronger in your desire to please." Perfect!!!
ReplyDeleteAlso, I love tea. LOVE it. Everyday.
Much thanks, Elena! I really love tea, too!
DeleteHow can something cold be sooo hot! Your pauses and breaks are magnificently placed, my Sharon!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Lady Magaly!
